Easy Make Heart-Healthy Chili
This chili is one of my all-time favorite heart-healthy meals that is easy to make and loaded with delicious ingredients and nutrients.
I start with organic grass-fed beef, organic red, green, yellow, and orange bell peppers, jalapeno and serrano peppers, yellow onion, black and kidney beans, garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste.
One of the things I like most about making chili is it allows me to use a wide variety of different colored vegetables and this is important because different color vegetables provide us with different nutrients and thus different health benefits. Click here to keep reading

Medical treatment today all too often revolves around the treatment and management of symptoms, while frequently failing to adequately address the underlying causes of sickness and disease. Most often when a condition is diagnosed by your physician you will be put on a pharmaceutical protocol and/or surgical intervention in an effort to manage and slow the progress of the disease or sickness and then you will be given some basic advice in regards to lifestyle modifications that generally include improving your diet, getting more exercise and losing weight.
However, unlike the drug therapy you are given, which provides very specific directions in terms of what drugs to take as well as when and how often to take them the directions for lifestyle modification are most often vague at best, usually consisting of just a handout sheet of paper.
This is unfortunate because the scientific evidence is overwhelming that lifestyle modification greatly improves health outcomes in patients diagnosed with disease as well as a preventative measure.
The role of a health coach is to bridge the gap between your doctor's treatment plan and recommendations and the implementation of those recommendations in your daily life to not just improve and manage, but to optimize your health outcome.

When I was first diagnosed with heart disease in the form of heart failure as well as pulmonary hypertension I was devastated. I thought it was my death sentence, but quickly I became fanatically obsessed with doing everything I could to reverse my conditions, restore my health and live an active lifestyle again.
Before being diagnosed I worked as a certified health coach, personal trainer, and nutrition consultant specializing in working with people with chronic diseases including heart disease.
I had extensive experience in understanding what it takes to both manage and recover from disease and I became consumed with knowing everything I could about heart disease and what I could do to beat it. I read every bit of research and every study I could get my hands on. In the process, I discovered and tested numerous things I could do in addition to my doctor's treatment plan that would increase my odds of recovering.
With my background and experience as a health coach, personal trainer, and nutrition consultant with tens of thousands of hours of experience I became my own patient and client. For years I had developed comprehensive and cutting edge programs for countless others dealing with an array of diseases including heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, cancer, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and more. But now it was time to develop a program to work in the reversal of heart disease
And that’s exactly what I did. Today I am happy and blessed to report that I have reversed my heart disease, heart failure, and pulmonary hypertension.
I was fortunate to have had an outstanding medical team, but also attribute much of my recovery to the training and nutrition program I developed and followed which defied many of the current commonly prescribed approaches taken by many doctors, exercise physiologists, and nutritionist, but yet are supported by the latest science and research.
